Welcome to the website of St Bartholomew’s, Whittingham Edlingham with Bolton Chapel the fourth church in the parish, St Peter's, Glanton, was sadly destroyed by fire on 11 March 2005. Services now take place at the United Reformed Church in the village by kind permission of the minister and elders of the church.

This website is provided for the benefit of those planning to visit the area, or who have recently moved into the locality, and are looking to attend a place of worship and become part of the worshipping community.

St Bartholomew’s and its sister churches are part of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle providing Eucharistic and alternative forms of worship on a weekly basis.

The church communities are involved with local organisations and voluntary groups, and although relatively small in number, seek to offer Christian witness within the community and recognise the presence of God at work in the lives of all.

‘In Christ the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God’ (Ephesians 2:21,22)!
